The FED came into existence 24 years ago. Local community organisations came together, to establish a body that would help promote independence with dignity for disabled people making sure than when services were being planned and developed local disabled peoples views were heard. It is this ethos, which the Federation represents today.
The FED provides direct support and advice to over 3000 people a year through its projects. While its representation and development work has benefits and an impact on a much wider group of disabled people, carers and service providers across Brighton and Hove.
