The UK Reiki Federation was established in 1999. Its main aims are:
- To provide advice, support and an information network to the Reiki community, professionals who work with/alongside Reiki and to the general public.
- To promote best practice in the delivery of Reiki to the public, to provide a form of recourse and to be part of the world-wide Reiki community
- To help create, maintain and evaluate professional standards of training for practitioners of Reiki
- To provide information on research
- To represent a collective voice within the field of Reiki through which to instigate and maintain a dialogue with relevant external agencies
- To provide details of and promote mutual understanding, communication and good relations between different styles, systems, schools and lineages of Reiki within the UK and internationally.
The Federation is able to provide a copy of its magazine/newsletters on Audio or CD for members with visual impairment.
The Reiki Federation has a positive attitude towards those with disabilities when providing details on prospective teachers and/or practitioners.
