We've listed some Councils below to show you examples of the discount cards/ schemes that are available for disabled residents. We are unable to list every council here, but we suggest you get in touch with the 'Leisure, Culture and Tourism' department of your local council to find out what kind of discounts they have in place.
Examples of Discount Leisure Schemes:
Sheffield City Council - Slice Discount Leisure Card
The Slice Card is a discount card offering significant savings on swimming and sports activities in pools, sports centres, golf courses and parks across Sheffield, and also selected sites in Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham.
For casual swimming, the card will guarantee at least a 30% saving at all times. Discounts for swimming lessons may vary (for further details, contact your local facility).
For many other recreation activities such as golf, bowls, squash, tennis, badminton etc. it will guarantee at least 15% savings on weekday evenings and weekends, and at least 30% savings at other times. The card will cost you £3.00 and is valid for12 months.
The Slice Card is controlled by Sheffield City Council. Children under the age of 5 years enjoy free access to swimming and sports activities and therefore do not need to apply for the card.

Flex card - your key to a healthier lifestyle
The Flex card, which is renewable annually, offers discounted rates on many activities at participating Telford & Wrekin leisure centres, as well as access to special offers throughout the year.
Junior residents (15 years or under) and anyone qualifying for concessionary status are entitled to a free Flex Card.

Brent residents can purchase a concessionary B.Active card for only £5 if they are full time students (17+), student nurses, people on low incomes, old age pensioners and registered disabled people. Concessionary B.Active card holders will then receive approximately 40% discount off the price of activities.
The B.Active scheme will operate at the Borough's three sports and leisure centres:
Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre in Stonebridge
Charteris Sports Centre in South Kilburn
Vale Farm Sports Centre in North Wembley
To join the B.Active scheme you will need to obtain the B.Active photocard. This can be obtained in person at any of the three centres listed above. The Bedford Leisure Card is a discount card which can save you money on activities at all leisure facilities provided by Bedford Borough Council. As well as using your card for discounts on all your favourite leisure activities, you can also obtain discounts on selected events at the Bedford Corn Exchange, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.
