Employing a PA
There are 3 options available when it comes to having a personal assistant / professional carer to assist you with your homecare requirements:
- Have one provided directly by your local Social Services Department
which means that everything is arranged for you
- Use a Care Agency
which means that you have to pay the care agency, but you wont have any of the employer responsibilities as an employer because the PA works for the agency
- Employ a PA directly yourself
which is the option that gives you the most choice and control over who you have working for you, what they do and the times that you need them be available to suit your lifestyle best.
