Special Virtuosi is a new music group set up to provide instrumental support to musicians who have learning difficulties ranging from Dyslexia, Autism, Aspergers' Syndrome, and downs Syndrome to name just a few.
Their aim is to provide new music making activity focused on young people with special educational needs which is completly inclusive and fun for all involved. The main idea behind this is about providing somewhere for musicians with special educational needs to play together with the amount of extra support they need to be able to do this. This will encourage them to keep playing their instruments and help them to develop social skills which will be a benefit to them in wider society.
There will always be instrumental tutors on hand to give professional support on all instruments and even opportunities for young people who don't yet play an instrument, to get involved and start learning.
The following instruments will have tutors:
Singing
Piano
Percussion
Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
Woodwind: Recorder, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon
Brass: Horn, Trumpet, Trombone
