The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) is the umbrella organisation for disability sport in the country, bringing together a network of 9 regional offices and the National Disability Sport Organisations (NDSO’s) recognised by Sport England.
EFDS mission is: “to be the united voice of disability sport seeking to promote inclusion and achieve equality of sporting opportunity for disabled people.”
EFDS works at a national level, and through its nine regional federations, to effect changes in the range and quality of sport and physical activity available to disabled people.
EFDS Events Division – Disability Sports Events (DSE) directly manages a programme of 12 major international, national and regional pan-disability competitions attracting over 5,000 participants. DSE is also the industry leader in terms of ‘Profiling’ and ‘Classification’ working with the British Paralympic Association and National Governing Bodies on talent identification and player pathways.
